Getting Started
CommuteSmart offers customized employer services, providing educational materials and training, program implementation and ongoing program support. We also offer:
- Employee outreach - Ongoing assistance in the form of transportation fairs, roundtable discussions, brochures, fliers, posters and promotional incentives. CommuteSmart will also train one of your employees to serve as the Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC) to assist with program implementation.
- Ridematching –Let your employees arrive to work with less stress and ready to start the day after sharing the ride. Our secure online database makes it easy for them to find a match. We can also hold Meet Your Match events at your worksite to help form carpools and vanpools.
- Flexible work arrangements – Competitive employers use flexible work arrangements to expand office hours, increase productivity and boost employee morale. Consider testing one or more of the following:
- Teleworking
- Flextime
- Compressed work weeks
- Transit passes – Employees may be able to purchase Metro Area Express (MAX) passes at a discount.
- Emergency Ride Home (ERH) – This program helps eliminate an employee’s fear of being stranded at work. ERH reimburses up to five rides home in case of emergency.
- Incentives – By subsidizing employees’ vanpooling and/or transit costs, employers can reduce their tax burden and strengthen the bottom line.
